Christmas Day was a pretty good day. Kevin and I spent the day together. He did get me some gifts to open, and he also bought a gift for my little, Ally.
He bought be a forward and backward camera for my Jeep. A GOPRO. It records what is going on in front of me on the road, and what is going on behind me when I am driving. I am so excited about this, now when we go trailing my Jeep will record our trails so I can watch later! I am excited for him to install this. Also, if I was to hit by another car, either someone who brake checks me, or runs into the back of my jeep...I will have a visual video of what exactly happened and who is at fault. Super cool!
He also bought me a "solar" phone and computer charger. Which is also cool, as it does not need electricity to charge anything...just sun.
I previously bought him Commander/Cowboy tickets so he could attend the game that was just before thanksgiving. That was his Christmas gift from me.
When David was here, him and Kevin built his mother a Spice Rack. Which turned out really nice, I hope she likes it. David did almost all of the build and painting himself. Very cool.
The only family member that I actually talked to on Christmas was my dad. He seemed pretty coherent, but he ended our phone call very abruptly...He said Merry Christmas to me, and I told him I loved him and started to tell him about hiking with my dog, and he just hung up on me....oh well, I know his mind is not all there.
Xmas day, we also went for a hike. The same trail I saw the mama and three bear cubs about a year ago....When that hurricane came through here and did so much damage in NC and here we saw.so many trees that were blown down. On the trail there were a couple of trees that had been bent down because of the weight of fallen trees, so Kevin whipped out his knife and freed two trees...it was cool to see them spring back up and reach for the sky...if they had not been freed, they would have died.
Save the Tress! When we got back, a the neighbors were gone, so we spent the rest of the day, cleaning, leaves and debris that was all around, and blowing off the entire drive and parking area...now the place is all nice and clean and looks manicured. Merry Christmas to the two neighbors! They get to reap the benefits of our hard work!
So that was our Christmas day. Kevin, me and Boomer. It was a very nice day.
